Rajnath Singh’s big statement: Every soldier will get training in modern technology
Indore: In view of the high-tech warfare system around the world and the future-based challenges of war, the Indian Army is also going to be upgraded with state-of-the-art and high-tech warfare systems, so every soldier of the country’s army will be given training in drone technology from 2027, along with the Indian Army being upgraded with Rudra Brigade, Shaktiman Regiment, Divyastra Battery, Drone Platoon and Thero Battalion.
The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said this while addressing the closing session of Ran Samvad 2025, a joint event of the three armies at the Army War College in Mhow, Indore. He discussed future-based warfare systems and challenges, referring to the changing nature of the Indian Army and the upgrade with modern warfare systems.
2-day ‘Ran Samvad 2025’ in Mhow
The 2-day seminar ‘Ran Samvad 2025’ on war, warfare and war operations at the Army War College in Mhow is on its second day on Wednesday. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh mentioned modern warfare systems in his address. Apart from the chiefs of the three armies, famous defence experts and heads of defence industry were present in the programme. Rajnath Singh told the secret of the strength of the Indian Army
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that “Joint operation of the three armies is the secret of the strength and success of the Indian Army. Operation Sindoor is an example of this, but at the same pace at which the technology of war is becoming modern, the Indian service is being continuously upgraded and modernised.”
‘Every soldier will get training in drone technology’
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that “From the year 2027, every soldier of the army will be given training in drone technology by the Army Training Command. Apart from this, Rudra Brigade, Shaktiman Regiment, Divyastra Battery, Drone Platoon and Thero Battalion are being formed by the Indian Army.”
‘Satellite systems, cyber space systems are the real power of the army’
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that “Since the Second World War, all countries have been going through the era of Cold War. Therefore, now the armies are not fighting face-to-face war but attacks are being made through proxy war. In this era, missile-based warfare system has emerged as a benchmark. The use of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles is huge.”
He said that “In future, the challenges of cyber war and proxy war will increase, so real time information, data transformation will play an important role. Therefore, satellite systems, cyber space systems will be the real power of the army. We will have to work on an active strategy regarding this.” ‘It is necessary to be prepared for battle in every situation’
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that “future wars will not be fought with weapons but with technology based planning and cyber resources. Therefore, we should be prepared economically and in terms of self-reliance. Referring to the Chinese word Sung Chu, he said that it is not necessary to fight but it is also important to be ready for battle in every situation. A country like India has never fought a war by taking the lead but when forced to fight, the Indian Army has always given a befitting reply to the enemy army.”
‘Role of Air Force is more important’
While discussing the battle in Ran Samvad, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that “In today’s era, there is no fixed system of war which can be trusted blindly. However, in today’s era, the role of Air Force is more important than Army and Navy.”
The Defence Minister said that “Defensive technology is being developed rapidly by DRDO. Sudarshan Chakra is an example of this. Which has introduced the Indian Air Defense System to the whole world.”

‘Upgrading is necessary in view of the changing war system’
Addressing the three top officers of the army present in Ran Samvad, he said that in the 21st century, war will depend on cyber war, artificial intelligence and real time intelligence along with best surveillance. Therefore, we will have to focus on our satellite system, information system and intelligence. In the future, intelligence will be the worth of the nation. Therefore, along with developing cyber infrastructure, we have to upgrade ourselves according to the changing warfare system.
