New Delhi: Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary is being celebrated across the country today. Following PM Modi’s appeal, various leaders and Union ministers participated in cleanliness drives across the country as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. This campaign was organized in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, urging all citizens to volunteer for one hour a day for the service of the nation.
Rajnath Singh honored sanitation workers
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh honored sanitation workers at the Army Headquarters in Delhi as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. He said on the occasion that we have all gathered on the important occasion of Swachhata Diwas. It is remarkable how the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” has become a mass movement. A person who keeps their home and surroundings clean sends a message of disciplined and responsible citizens. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh were also present at the event.

Posting on the social media platform, he wrote, “On the occasion of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary, I participated in the “Swachhata Hi Seva – 2025″ campaign, following the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I urge all citizens to actively participate in this campaign and contribute to building a clean, healthy, and green India.” Manohar Lal Khattar participated in the “Swachhata Hi Seva: One Day, One Hour, Together” campaign in Chandigarh. He joined local residents in cleaning public spaces and appealed to others to join the campaign.
