Junagadh: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will address the district and city unit heads of his party in Junagadh city of Gujarat today on Friday. According to the information, a training camp is being organized in Junagadh from 10 to 19 September under the Congress’ ‘Sangthan Srujan Abhiyan’ (campaign to strengthen the organization). It was inaugurated by party president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday.
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s Junagadh visit, Gujarat Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi said on Thursday that Rahul Gandhi will land at Keshod airport at around 1 pm on Friday and will reach the ‘camp’ site at around 1:30 pm. He will address the district and city presidents and interact with senior leaders. He will stay in the program for about three hours before leaving for Delhi.
Let us tell you, this is the second such training camp to be organized with the aim of preparing a roadmap for the assembly elections to be held in Gujarat in 2027. The inaugural camp was held in Anand in July, soon after the party appointed new district level presidents in the state.
The Sorathia family here, which has been running a tea hotel called Phillips at Chitakhan Chowk for more than 40 years, has invited Rahul Gandhi for tea. Earlier, his father and late Rajiv Gandhi had enjoyed tea at the same hotel in 1991 and also ate Khari Singhara near it. At that time Rajiv Gandhi had come to campaign for the Congress candidate in 1991. The owner of Phillips Hotel still remembers this incident. He hopes that Rahul Gandhi will do the same.
Earlier on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi also visited Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh. There too he met many people and enquired about their well-being.
