The rabies infected patient died on Monday morning at around 7 am. The young man did not get relief even in AIIMS. So his family took him to a private hospital. He died there. A young man showing severe symptoms of rabies was brought to Doon Hospital on Sunday. He was treated at Doon Hospital for about three hours. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was referred to AIIMS Rishikesh.
The hospital’s medical superintendent Dr Ravindra Singh Bisht said that the person was afraid of water and light and was constantly drooling from his mouth. He was also showing signs of intense aggression. The deceased’s mother Shashi Sharma said that she had taken him from Doon Hospital to AIIMS Rishikesh where he was given first aid. When his condition did not improve, she took him to another hospital, where he died in the morning.
Serious symptoms of rabies seen six months after dog bite, youth referred to AIIMS
A 30-year-old youth showing serious symptoms of rabies was admitted to Doon Hospital on Sunday. After his condition deteriorated after about four hours, he was referred to AIIMS Rishikesh. The youth was afraid of water and light and was constantly drooling from his mouth. Also, symptoms of intense aggression were visible.
All the people present there including the doctors were shocked. For a long time, the doctors could not understand what the problem was with the youth. When the family told about the dog bite to the youth six months ago, the doctors suspected rabies.
Anti-rabies vaccine was not administered
After this, when clinical examination was done, this thing was confirmed to a great extent. According to the doctor, the youth is a resident of Dehradun. The family also told that the anti-rabies vaccine was not administered to the youth after the dog bite.
