Chandigarh: Road accidents are not decreasing in Barnala, Punjab. Every day some accident happens here. Meanwhile, a major road accident has happened near T-point Handiaya on Barnala-Bathinda National Highway on Tuesday.
According to the information, four vehicles including an Alto car, a horse carriage, a government PRTC bus full of 52 passengers and a Scorpio car collided with each other due to the gross negligence of the driver. In the accident, 35 to 40 passengers and the driver of the bus were injured. They have been sent for treatment to private hospitals including the government hospital in Barnala.
About 52 passengers on the bus
It is being told that this road accident happened due to the gross negligence of the Alto car and due to heavy rain, PRTC could not control the bus. According to the information, the PRTC bus was going from Bathinda to Shimla. There were about 52 passengers on the bus.
Bus hit horse carriage
According to the report, when the bus went a little ahead of Handiaya, an Alto car which was moving ahead of the horse carriage on the road suddenly turned the car towards the dhaba, after which the horse carriage suddenly stopped and the driver of the PRTC bus coming behind suddenly applied brakes, but due to rain he could not control the bus and hit the horse carriage.
The injured were admitted to the hospital
After the collision, the Scorpio car coming behind the PRTC bus also crashed. In connection with this accident, the police personnel of Handiaya Road Safety Force took 35 to 40 injured in ambulances to Barnala government hospital and private hospitals for treatment, out of which 6 to 7 patients are seriously injured. At the same time, Dr. Gurmehar Kaur of the government hospital said that the bus driver is seriously injured and some passengers are also undergoing treatment.
