Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) on Tuesday raided a spa centre in Pentagon Mall, Sidkul and busted prostitution racket. Police arrested five women and two men from the spot while the husband and wife who run the spa centre have fled. A case has been registered against all the accused under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act.
The AHTU team conducted a surprise check at Good and Happy Spa and Salon located in Pentagon Mall. During the search, the team found men and women in objectionable positions in two separate rooms in the spa cabins. Objectionable material was also recovered from the spot. Police immediately detained two men and five women.
AHTU in-charge Vijay Singh said that the arrested men have been identified as Sachin and Ganesh (both residents of Rishikesh) while the women are residents of Shamli, Panipat and Fatehpur. Spa centre operator Anubhav and his wife Shalu, who are residents of RK Puram Colony, Sidkul, fled from the spot. The police are searching for them. Apart from this, irregularities were also found in another spa center nearby, after which its operator has been challaned.
