The process of shifting the Arhat Bazaar has accelerated. Two properties in the old Arhat Bazaar were registered in favor of the Public Works Department on Monday. In return, compensation of Rs. 5 crore was paid to the traders through checks. A total of 80 registrations are scheduled. The MDDA has transferred Rs. 20 lakh to the Public Works Department at the rate of Rs. 25,000 per registration.
MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari stated that the MDDA is striving to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience during public works such as the Arhat Bazaar relocation and road widening. Everyone receives appropriate compensation in a timely manner.
The Arhat Bazaar-Tehsil Chowk road widening project is crucial for the city. It will not only ease traffic flow but also enhance the beauty of the market area. Compensation and plot allocations are being provided to affected property owners with complete transparency. The MDDA is continuously undertaking development projects that enhance the city’s appearance and ease the lives of citizens.
