Regarding the President’s visit to Jamshedpur, S.K. Behera, a trustee of the Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Center Trust, said that this project will not only be a religious site but will also develop into a spiritual and cultural study center for the educational development of today’s youth and students. After the spiritual center is built, a stone temple will be constructed on the same premises, spread over 2.5 acres. It will showcase a blend of architecture and exquisite craftsmanship.
S.K. Behera said that this land was allotted when Droupadi Murmu was the Governor of Jharkhand. The construction of the Shri Jagannath Temple will take approximately four years. However, the spiritual center will be constructed before the temple. The temple will promote religious tourism and create employment opportunities.
S.K. Behera also said that the President will address the gathering during the foundation stone laying ceremony. The Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Gangwar, will also be present on this occasion. It is worth noting that this is President Droupadi Murmu’s second visit to Jamshedpur since becoming the President of India. Earlier, she had visited Karandih for the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Santali Ol Chiki script.
