Dehradun: To deal with the problem of traffic jam in Dehradun, the work of construction of the ambitious Bindal-Rispana elevated road is being prepared to be handed over to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). A meeting has also been held between the officials of PWD and NHAI regarding this.
There is a plan to construct a 26 km elevated road on Bindal and Rispana. The Public Works Department had prepared the DPR for this. Apart from this, other works related to the project were started. Now preparations are being made to give this project to NHAI. Discussions have also been held between the Public Works Department and NHAI officials regarding this.
The Public Works Department will have to complete the process related to the transfer of forest land related to the project as well as do the land acquisition work. There will be a lot of concrete work in this project, so exemption has been sought in the royalty required for it. Also, there has been an agreement to give exemption in GST.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has agreed to give the amount. The construction work will be done by NHAI. Apart from submitting the DPR related to the PWD project, the work of forest land transfer and land acquisition will also be done.
