During the ‘Praveshotsav’ (Admission Festival) celebrated across schools in the state, a total of 67,815 students from Class 1 to Class 12 enrolled. Upon their arrival at the schools, the newly admitted students and their parents were accorded a warm welcome.
Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, joining virtually as the Chief Guest, inaugurated the ‘Praveshotsav’ program and encouraged the newly admitted students. Furthermore, he issued directives to officials to ensure 100% enrollment. The Minister informed that, at the primary level, 24,381 students enrolled in schools. Meanwhile, at the upper primary level, 31,008 students, and at the secondary level, 12,426 students were admitted to various schools. Specifically within primary education, this included 20,405 students in Class 1, 1,447 in Class 2, 958 in Class 3, 849 in Class 4, and 722 in Class 5.
At the upper primary level, 28,676 students enrolled in Class 6, 1,219 in Class 7, and 1,113 in Class 8. At the secondary level, 11,859 students enrolled in Class 9, 278 in Class 10, 233 in Class 11, and 56 in Class 12 across various schools. During the ‘Praveshotsav’ programs organized in different schools, the newly admitted students were welcomed with floral garlands and were also provided with free textbooks.
