Dhanolti: On 21 July, all the post offices of Tehri Postal Division i.e. Tehri and Uttarkashi districts will not function due to software update. Giving this information, GS Rana, Postal Superintendent of Tehri Postal Division, said that on 21 July, the process of software update is to be done in all the post offices of Tehri and Uttarkashi districts. Due to which work will not be done.
GS Rana said that through this software, the Postal Department is going to launch IT 2.0 version with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the personnel and performing work more quickly. For which all the postal employees have already been trained. GS Rana, Postal Division Superintendent, said that now a new introduction of APT application is being done in the post offices. The department has taken this step towards making digital services better and modern, which will be implemented in all the post offices of Tehri Postal Division from 22 July.
He said that the process of adjusting the old system to the new system has been started on last Saturday. To implement the digital system in a safe and better way, no service of any kind will be operated in all the post offices of Tehri Uttarkashi district on July 21. The information of which has already been broadcast by the department. So that people do not get unnecessarily troubled. He said that at present many important schemes including PLI, RD, Sukanya are being run by the Postal Department. The Post Superintendent appealed to the people to take advantage of these schemes. GS Rana said that the department has identified 19 post offices of Tehri-Uttarkashi districts under the Postal Division for Aadhar card related work. At present, Aadhar services are being operated in the post offices of New Tehri, Chamba, Narendranagar, Ghansali. There is an effort to make it smooth in the remaining post offices by the month of September. For this, login IDs of two personnel of the concerned post offices will be created from UIDAI.
