On Friday, on the occasion of World Population Day, Population Stabilization Campaign was launched at Mahatma Gandhi Shatabdi Hospital. This campaign is being run from 11th July to 18th July.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Rajpur MLA Khajan Das ji. In the program, five ASHA workers were awarded for making special efforts to motivate the beneficiaries for family planning and to provide family planning services.
On this occasion, the chief guest regional MLA Khajan Das ji said that family planning is important not only for the family but also for the society. Better health and mental development of mother and children can be ensured by the woman conceiving at the right age and keeping a proper gap between two children. Appreciating the work of ASHA sisters in the field of community health, he said that it is the result of the hard work of ASHA sisters that today women and men are adopting the means of family planning.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma said that camps are being organized in the district under the awareness campaign. Sterilization services and other services are also available in hospitals under family planning. He appealed that along with women, men should also understand their responsibility and adopt family planning for the well-being of their family and society. He said that with population stabilization, we can not only make the society and the state prosperous, but can also reduce the pressure on natural resources.
Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Manu Jain said that all the services of family planning are available in the district hospital. During the campaign, instructions have been given to provide services to maximum beneficiaries.
In the program, detailed information about permanent and temporary measures of family planning was given by Family Planning Consultant Pushpa Upreti.
Dermatologist Dr Anil Arya, Dr Mahesh Khetan, Public Relations Officer Pramod Panwar, Dr Nisha Singla, Asha Coordinator Dinesh Chandra Pandey, Hospital Quality Manager Aarti Sharma, Quality Executive Kajal, IEC Coordinator Pooja Negi etc. were present in the program.
