New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat from October 30th to 31st, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). An official statement issued by the PMO stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat from October 30th to 31st.
On October 30th, Prime Minister Modi will visit Ekta Nagar and Kevadia and flag off e-buses there at around 5:15 pm. At around 6:30 pm, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure and development projects worth over ₹1,140 crore in Ekta Nagar.
The PMO statement stated that on October 31st, at around 8 am, the Prime Minister will lay a wreath at the Statue of Unity, followed by the National Unity Day celebrations to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Following this, at around 10:45 am, he will interact with the officer trainees of the 100th Common Foundation Course at Aarambh 7.0.
Inauguration of Development Projects
On the first day (October 30), the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure and development projects in Ekta Nagar. These projects aim to enhance the tourist experience, improve accessibility, and support sustainability initiatives in the area.
The PMO stated that with a total investment of over ₹1,140 crore, these projects reflect the government’s vision to promote ecotourism, green mobility, smart infrastructure, and tribal development in the area surrounding the world’s tallest statue.
The projects to be inaugurated include the Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, the Hospitality District (Phase 1) in Garudeshwar, the Vaman Vriksha Vatika, the Satpura Security Wall, an e-bus charging depot and 25 electric buses, the Narmada Ghat Extension, the Kaushalya Path, the walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shrestha Bharat Bhavan (Phase 2), the Smart Bus Stop (Phase 2), the Dam Replica Fountain, and the GSEC Quarters.
In addition, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for various projects, including the Museum of India’s Imperial Kingdoms, the Veer Balak Udyan, the Sports Complex, the Rainforest Project, the Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, and the travelators at the Statue of Unity. During the event, the Prime Minister will also release a special commemorative coin of ₹150 and a postage stamp to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.
PM Modi to Attend National Unity Day Celebrations
On the second day (October 31), the Prime Minister will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations and pay floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He will administer the Unity Day Pledge and witness the Unity Day Parade. The parade will include contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB, as well as various state police forces.
This year’s highlights include a BSF marching contingent consisting of exclusively Indian breed dogs such as the Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds, a Gujarat Police cavalry contingent, an Assam Police motorcycle daredevil show, and a BSF camel contingent and camel-mounted band.
Gallantry Medal Winners to Be Honored
The parade will also honor five Shaurya Chakra winners from the CRPF and sixteen gallantry medal winners from the BSF, who displayed exceptional courage in anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand and counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
BSF personnel will also be honored for their valor during Operation Sindoor. This year’s National Unity Day parade will include ten tableaux from the NSG, NDRF, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Manipur, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, and Puducherry, based on the theme of “Unity in Diversity.” A cultural program presented by 900 artists will showcase classical Indian dances, representing the richness and diversity of Indian culture.
This year’s National Unity Day celebrations hold special significance as the nation celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Prime Minister will interact with officer trainees of the 100th Foundation Course at the conclusion of “Aarambh 7.0.” The 7th edition of “Aarambh” is being organized on the theme of “Reimagining Governance.” The 100th Foundation Course will include 660 officer trainees from 16 Indian civil services and three civil services from Bhutan.
