Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Punjab. BJP leaders are busy preparing for the Prime Minister’s visit. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has demanded that Prime Minister Modi rename Adampur Airport. Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Jalandhar on February 1st (Sunday).
CM Mann’s Demand?
Ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Punjab, CM Mann shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) yesterday (January 28) demanding the renaming of Adampur Airport. He said that PM Modi is coming to Jalandhar on February 1st and will land at Adampur Airport. He requested the Prime Minister to rename Adampur Airport after Shri Guru Ravidas Ji. The people of Punjab would be grateful for this.
PM Modi’s Punjab Visit
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will visit Dera Sachkhand Ballan and meet Sant Niranjan Das of Dera Ballan. This visit of Prime Minister Modi will be dedicated to the 649th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas. While mentioning this visit, CM Mann made the demand to rename Adampur Airport.
It is noteworthy that Dera Sachkhand Ballan is considered one of the major religious centers in Punjab’s Doaba region. This Dera is located in Ballan village, about 13 kilometers from Jalandhar. The head of Dera Sachkhand Ballan, Sant Niranjan Das Ji, has been awarded the Padma Shri.
