Prime Minister Modi will not only visit Uttarakhand on Thursday but he is also going to visit Uttar Pradesh. PM will first visit Uttar Pradesh. In UP, PM Modi will go to Varanasi. According to PIB, at around 11:30 am in Varanasi, the Prime Minister will host the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam. The PM of Mauritius is on a state visit to India from 9 to 16 September 2025. PM Modi will conduct aerial inspection of disaster-hit areas: After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Uttarakhand. He has to conduct aerial inspection of the disaster-hit areas here. PM Modi will conduct aerial inspection of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and surrounding areas by sitting in an army helicopter. After this, he will return and hold a high-level meeting with all the officials and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the airport itself. In this meeting, along with the officials of Uttarakhand, the officials of the central team who have visited the state will also be present.
Major disasters have occurred in Uttarakhand: Let us tell you that this year disaster has occurred in many districts of Uttarakhand. First of all, on August 5, disaster came from Kheerganga Gad in Dharali of Uttarkashi district. The flood in Kheerganga brought with it large boulders, trees and debris. The debris and flood devastated Dharali village and surrounding areas. All the hotels, shops and houses of Dharali market were buried under the debris. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Dharali market was completely destroyed. A large number of missing people are still missing.
Major damage caused by disaster in Pauri: On August 6, disaster struck Pauri Garhwal district. Heavy rains caused landslides in villages Saanji, Patti Bali Kandarsyun and villages Raidul, Patti Padulsyun of Pauri tehsil. Many residential buildings were destroyed in this natural disaster. Agricultural land also suffered heavy damage. Many people also went missing in the Pauri disaster, who have not been traced yet.
Disaster disrupted life in Tharali too: After this, a natural disaster struck Tharali in Chamoli district on August 23. Heavy rains and landslides caused heavy damage in Kotdip, Radibag, Upper Bazaar, Kulsari, Chepdo, Sagwara and other parts of Tharali. A young girl died due to heavy rains and landslides. One person went missing. Rescue operations continued in Tharali for several days. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself reached Tharali.
