Madurai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madurai on March 1st to participate in a public meeting for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election campaign. Preparations are in full swing across the city.
The public meeting will be held at the Mandela Nagar grounds near the Ring Road, where officials and party workers are preparing for the stage and other arrangements. Officials are working together to ensure a smooth event, which is expected to be attended by a large number of NDA supporters and the public.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate key central government infrastructure projects related to national highways and railways. These projects aim to strengthen connectivity and promote economic development in Tamil Nadu and surrounding areas.
In addition to attending the public meeting, the Prime Minister will also offer prayers at the Thiruparankundram Temple, one of Madurai’s most prominent religious sites. Security has been tightened throughout Madurai in anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit. Security personnel have been deployed at key locations, including public meeting venues, temple complexes, and main roads.
This visit comes as the NDA is ramping up its campaign activities ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, with senior leaders connecting with voters and addressing public meetings across the state.
Earlier, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed confidence in the NDA’s electoral prospects, saying the alliance was confident of its success in the Assembly elections. The Prime Minister’s visit is expected to energize party workers and strengthen the NDA’s campaign momentum in the region.
