Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his respects at the headquarters of Dera Sachkhand Ballan in Jalandhar, along with Dera Sachkhand chief Sant Niranjan Das, on the occasion of the 649th birth anniversary of Sant Bhagat Ravidas Ji. He also announced that Adampur airport would be renamed as Shri Guru Ravidas Airport. On this occasion, he said, “I bow to the sacred soil of Punjab. It was on the ghats of Kashi that the teachings of Sant Ravidas Ji came to light. We all draw great inspiration from him.” The PM said, “The path of service shown by Sant Ravidas Ji has given us even more inspiration and energy. Today, I am also happy about another thing. Some time ago, the Adampur Airport was named after Guru Ravidas Ji. Now, Adampur Airport will be known as Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj Airport. In addition, the new terminal building of Halwara Airport has been inaugurated. I congratulate all countrymen for these efforts. Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj spoke about equality and equal opportunities in society.” Prime Minister Modi said, “A few months ago, with the blessings of respected Sant Niranjan Das Ji Maharaj and other saints, a prayer ceremony was held at Dera Sach Khand Ballan on my birthday. For me, this is not an ordinary matter; it is a very special event in my life. The path of service shown by Sant Ravidas has given me inspiration and energy. I express my heartfelt gratitude for all your love.” He said, “This morning, the country’s budget was presented in Parliament. This budget will further strengthen the poor, the farmers, the youth power, and the women’s power. This budget will strengthen the villages. This budget will increase the income of farmers. This budget promotes Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. In the last 11 years, many medicines have been made more affordable. Free treatment facilities have been provided to the poor and the elderly. With the same sensitivity, other important decisions have also been taken in this budget. This trade deal will greatly benefit our brothers and sisters in Punjab. Millions of people in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Amritsar are associated with the textile industry. Now, Punjab’s textile sector will gain access to new and larger markets.
