Opposition to the construction of a temple in the name of Kedarnath Dham has started in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The pilgrim priests of Kedarnath Dham have opened a front against it. They warned that if the construction is not stopped, a protest will be held at the house of former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav.
Last year, the pilgrim priests had opposed the foundation stone laying of a temple in the name of Kedarnath Dham in Delhi. After this, the trust building the temple withdrew the decision. Now the pilgrim priests have started protesting against the construction of Kedareshwar temple in the name of Kedarnath in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The pilgrim priests allege that the temple is being constructed under the patronage of SP leader and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Acharya Santosh Trivedi in Kedarnath said, if the construction of the temple in the name of Kedarnath Dham is not stopped, the pilgrim priest community will be forced to protest at Akhilesh Yadav’s house. It is not right to hurt the faith of devotees from the country and the world by building a symbolic temple of Kedarnath. On the other hand, BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi says that the matter will be investigated. After this, BKTC will take action on it after taking legal opinion
