The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission repeated the errors it made in the PCS Preliminary Exam results in the Main Exam results. This resulted in a complete confusion. Finally, the Commission has rectified this technical error and released a revised result for the selected candidates based on their eligibility. All errors have been corrected.
The Commission released the PCS Preliminary Exam results on December 23, 2024. Twelve candidates were declared qualified for the post of Probationary Officer (Women Empowerment and Child Development Department). Their roll numbers are 107132, 119742, 120925, 144302, 146609, 162271, 176078, 186453, 219236, 219819, 238736, and 245207. When the main exam results were released, the Commission declared 162439, 182463, and 197739 of these candidates successful.
Candidates raised questions with the Commission.
The revised cutoff for the Probation Officer Pre-Examination was 95.9854 marks. Of the three candidates declared successful in the pre-examination for this position, one scored 81.2988, the other 82.3486, and the third 91.7894. The Commission declared candidates who had lower cutoffs and eligibility criteria in the pre-examination results as successful for the Probation Officer positions.
Continuing this mistake, the Commission declared only three candidates with these lower cutoffs successful for the Probation Officer positions in the main exam results on November 29th of this year. When some candidates raised questions with the Commission, the Commission investigated the matter and only then did it become clear that the mistake was discovered.
In the revised result of the main examination released on Monday, the commission removed the three previous candidates (162439, 182463 and 197739) from the probationary officer category and included them in the result of the consolidated posts. Whereas in their place, three new candidates 162271 (100.1814 marks in prelims), 219236 (95.9854 marks in prelims), 245207 (99.6560 marks in prelims) have been declared successful in the main examination. The marks of all of them are more than the cutoff of 95.9854 in the prelims examination and they are also eligible for the post
