Parasite bacteria that thrive in humidity is entering the body through air and contact with each other, which later reaches the brain through blood arteries and deactivates consciousness. Seven to eight such patients are reaching Doon Hospital every day.
Doctors are identifying this disease as tubercular meningitis. Most of its cases are coming from mountainous areas. Let us tell you that more rain is seen in mountainous areas as compared to plain areas. Due to this, the humidity generated in the atmosphere produces many types of bacteria and viruses.
Cases increase in rainy season
It mainly includes parasite bacteria. Apart from this, three other types of viral, bacteria and fungus are also included in it. According to Dr. Vijay Bhandari, Senior Physician of Medicine Department of Doon Hospital, cases of tubercular meningitis are seen in every season, but such cases increase in the rainy season.
It enters the body first through air and contact with each other. Later it reaches the brain through blood. In its initial stage, the patient faces problems like headache, vomiting and fever. If it remains active for 15 to 20 days continuously, it slows down the consciousness of the brain. Later it makes the patient completely unconscious. It can also be fatal for the patient.
Infection also develops through ears and nose
According to physician Dr. Bhandari, parasite bacteria can also reach the brain through ears and nose which causes tubercular meningitis infection. The bacteria first causes otitis infection in the ear. Due to infection in the ear for a long time, it directly enters the brain.
This is parasite bacteria
Parasite bacteria get their food by living inside or on another living organism. The bacteria cause a lot of damage to the organism from which they get food. In other words, bacteria are parasites that depend on other organisms to complete their life cycle. They reach the human body and weaken the immune system, which causes many types of diseases
Preventive measures
1- Use a mask
2- Do not come in contact with an infected person
3- Avoid going to humid places
