There is a possibility of heavy rain in the mountainous areas of Uttarakhand today. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in some parts of Dehradun and Bageshwar districts. While a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in other districts. Meteorologist Rohit Thapliyal said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly districts of the state till August 5.
64 roads closed in the state, most of them are in rural areas
64 roads are closed in the state due to debris after rain. These include 52 roads in rural areas. Due to the closure of roads, villagers as well as travelers are facing problems. According to the State Emergency Operation Center, Uttarkashi district has the highest number of 13 roads closed. While five roads are closed in Tehri, 11 each in Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh, two in Pauri and four in Nainital. Seven roads each in Dehradun and Chamoli, three in Bageshwar and one in Almora district are closed due to debris.
