Officials of the Uttarakhand Nursing Federation met with MLA Khajan Das at his residence on Rajpur Road on Monday and submitted a memorandum demanding transparency in the nursing recruitment process in the state and recruitment based on seniority.
In its memorandum, the Federation demanded the immediate creation of 1,000 new nursing positions in the state, including a request to initiate the recruitment process for 480 positions in Haridwar and Pithoragarh districts.
The Federation also emphasized ensuring transparency in the recruitment process and prioritizing seniority, which would not only provide employment to qualified youth in the state but also strengthen the state’s health services.
MLA Khajan Das listened to all the demands of the Nursing Federation seriously and assured them of raising them at the appropriate forum. He also stated that a year-wise recruitment process should be implemented in the state to ensure timely opportunities for qualified candidates.
Present on the occasion were Federation State President Naval Pundir, spokesperson Rajendra Kukreti, State Media Incharge Pravesh Rawat, member Akhilesh Semwal, and several other officials.
