Srinagar: The entrance examination for nursing and paramedical courses in Government Medical College Srinagar will be held on Saturday i.e. today and Sunday. This examination is considered very important for the students wishing to take admission in B.Sc Nursing, ANM, GNM and various other paramedical courses. More than one thousand registered candidates are participating in this entrance examination, due to which a special atmosphere of educational activities has been created in the area.
The Government Medical College administration has made extensive preparations for the fair, copyless and systematic conduct of the examination. The college administration has equipped the examination center with a state-of-the-art surveillance system and installed CCTV cameras in all the rooms, so that strict monitoring can be done on the entire examination center. Apart from this, proper arrangements for lighting, fans, drinking water, cleanliness and seating have been ensured in each examination room.
The entire arrangement for conducting the examination has been done under the leadership of the Principal of the college and Examination Center Chairman Dr. Ashutosh Sayana. He said that clear guidelines have been issued to all the employees and examiners to conduct the examination in a peaceful, transparent and smooth manner. Senior officers themselves are monitoring each stage for the successful conduct of the examination.
Assistant examination center in-charge Dr. Vinita Rawat and Dr. Surendra Singh Negi, while giving information, said that special attention has been paid to the convenience of the examinees. He said that help desk, guidance room and first aid facility have also been provided to ensure that no student faces any inconvenience during the examination.
There is a lot of enthusiasm among the students and their parents regarding the examination. The examinees are reaching the center on time since morning, while their family members accompanying them are waiting outside the examination center with full hope and expectation. The vigilance and transparency of the administration towards the examination has further deepened the trust of the parents. This entrance examination is not only being considered important in terms of the career of the students, but it is also becoming a symbol of the organization of the examination, the working style of the medical college and the commitment of the administration. In an educationally emerging city like Srinagar, such a well-organized examination system not only inspires the students but also indicates a high-level education system.
