Dehradun: Now the government will make a mobile app for taxi services like Ola-Uber in the state. Secretary Transport Brijesh Sant has given instructions in this regard in the meeting of Uttarakhand Taxi Maxi Mahasangh. At the same time, the Transport Headquarters will send a letter to the Center regarding restarting the manual fitness test of vehicles in Dehradun.
Secretary Transport Brijesh Kumar Sant held a meeting with Uttarakhand Taxi-Maxi Mahasangh. In which the officials of the Transport Headquarters also participated. The Mahasangh demanded that on the basis of the stay received from the High Court till May 15, along with the automated fitness test of vehicles, the option of manual test should be given in Dehradun.
Discussion on giving 15 days green card
On this, the Secretary Transport directed the officers of the headquarters to send a letter to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways citing the order of the High Court. The Ministry had stopped the process of depositing the fee for manual fitness test due to the presence of a fitness center in Doiwala.
In the meeting, there was a discussion on giving 15-day green card to commercial vehicles coming from outside states for Chardham Yatra. The Transport Secretary has given his consent to this. Soon an order will be issued in this regard. Green card for vehicles within the state will be made for the entire Yatra season as before.
