In the *National Lok Adalat* organized on 13th September 2025, judicial officers of the entire district performed excellently and disposed of *14,445* cases in a single day, due to which the number of pending cases in Dehradun district has now come down to less than one lakh and along with the disposal of the cases, a total revenue of *260028167* rupees has been received.

As per the instructions of Hon’ble National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, National Lok Adalat was organized in the courts of District Headquarters Dehradun, External Court Rishikesh Vikasnagar, Doiwala and Mayuri District Dehradun on *13 September, 2025* from 10.00 am to 05.00 pm. Motor accident claims, civil matters, family matters, cheque bounce cases and other criminal cases of compoundable nature were heard in this Lok Adalat. *195* criminal cases of compoundable nature, *1055* bank related cases, *19* money recovery cases, *76* Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, *128* family dispute cases, *12902* cases of crimes by meter vehicles and *70* other civil cases including *11374* cases were settled in this Lok Adalat and a settlement was reached for the amount of *180,422,049*/-. Also, a total of *1,900* cases were settled in the Lok Adalat by the judicial officers of the External Court, Vikasnagar on the basis of mutual consent, in which a total revenue of *22,075,346* /- was received and a total of *912* cases were settled in the Lok Adalat by the judicial officers of the External Court Rishikesh, and a total revenue of *43,637,502* /- was received. A total of *98,72,507* /- was received by the External Court Doiwala, by settling *225* cases and a total revenue of *40,20,763* /- was received by the External Court Mussoorie, by settling *34* cases.
Pre-litigation level cases were also settled in this National Lok Adalat. In the said Lok Adalat, *6901* cases of pre-litigation level were settled and settlements were made in respect of the amount of *36,059,775*/-.
*Good work was also done in previous National Lok Adalats*
Earlier, in the National Lok Adalat organized on 10 May 2005, Dehradun district had also performed well in which 12675 cases were settled in a single day.
Secretary/Senior Civil Judge, District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Mrs. Seema Dungarkoti informed that through National Lok Adalats, the dignity of the court is maintained and the spirit of reconciliation is encouraged and an atmosphere of brotherhood and peace is created in the society. Lok Adalat is an effective medium to get simple and quick justice, such orders are final and the court fee paid by the parties is also refunded
