Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah reviewed the progress of centrally funded schemes while holding a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) in Manthan Auditorium of Dehradun Forest Headquarters on Thursday. She directed the public representatives and departmental officers to effectively implement the centrally funded schemes run in public interest with quality and timeliness with better coordination. The MP reviewed in detail the centrally funded schemes like National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, PM Mineral Area Welfare, PM Skill Development, PM Employment Generation, Labor Portal, MNREGA, Deen Dayal Antyodaya, PM Housing Rural, Khelo India, Telecom Infrastructure, PM Matsya Sampada, Smart City, PM Jan Dhan, Sukanya Samriddhi, MP Fund, MP Adarsh โโGram etc. Expressing satisfaction over the progress of centrally funded schemes, she asked to speed up the development works with mutual coordination in public interest. The MP expressed strong displeasure over the senior officer of the Telecom Department not participating in the meeting of Disha. He sought an explanation from the officers who were absent from the meeting. Along with this, he also strictly instructed the officials of the Telecom Department to improve their working system. He directed to take action on the demand for mobile tower in Nawada. He asked ITDA to take immediate action for the arrangement of SWAN network in Tehsil Chakrata and Vikas Nagar. While reviewing the Mining Trust Fund, the MP directed that education, health, sports and other small development schemes and needs should be fulfilled on priority in the mining affected areas. The MP directed the Minor Irrigation Department to prepare the estimate of 05 incomplete schemes under the MP Fund and start work immediately after the rains. The MP said that the list of all the beneficiaries to whom the Agriculture and Horticulture Department has distributed agricultural machinery and horticultural equipment should be made available. The Fisheries Department was instructed to provide the progress report of fish production year-wise in Vikasnagar and Doiwala. He said that work should be done on integrated schemes for fish and poultry farming. While reviewing the Khelo India program, the MP said that by forming a committee at the district level, the problems of the players should be resolved immediately. Provide proper sports facilities to the players. Counseling of talented players should be done. Players should be trained in the sports included in the Olympics. Expressing concern over road accidents, the MP stressed on making people aware of road safety. The MP said that it is necessary to make citizens aware of traffic rules for smooth, safe and pleasant traffic. He directed the RTO to propagate traffic and road safety rules through schools and other educational institutions. The MP directed that the goals of all centrally funded schemes should be met with quality. During this, the MLAs and committee members presented the problems being faced in various development schemes and discussed their solutions. Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah and Project Director Vikram Singh informed the Hon’ble MP about the progress of centrally funded schemes in the district. Told that 54286 women have been benefited under the Ujjwala scheme. The work of Digital India Land Records Modernization has been completed. Out of 780 works under PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, 480 are complete, 296 are in progress. Out of 209 Gram Panchayats, 188 GPs have been covered under Bharat Net. Out of 21 Smart City works, 20 have been completed. Out of 448 sanctioned works in VDP in MP Adarsh โโGrams, 385 are complete, 07 in progress and 56 works are yet to start. A total of 12754 houses were surveyed under PM Awas Gramin.
