Dehradun: A mock drill is to be held on April 24 in view of the Chardham Yatra in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The NDMA will hold a meeting with state officials on Wednesday to further improve the preparations and coordination for this mock drill.
According to officials of the State Disaster Management Authority, apart from officials of the Disaster Management Department, it will include officials from the District Magistrates of Haridwar, Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Chamoli, Pauri Garhwal, District Disaster Management Officer, Police, Transport, Public Works Department, Fire Department and other departments. In the meeting, it will be told how the mock drill is to be conducted, where and for which incident the mock drill is to be conducted.
