Under the State Government Health Scheme (Golden Card), which provides cashless treatment to state employees and pensioners, hospitals are required to obtain feedback from patients upon discharge. The State Health Authority has issued guidelines to all empanelled hospitals regarding this matter.
State Health Authority Chairman Arvind Singh Hyanki stated that patients treated under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana are required to complete a feedback form upon discharge, which provides complete information and feedback regarding the treatment period. This form must be submitted by the respective hospitals along with the bill. The feedback form has also been made mandatory for State Government Health Scheme (Golden Card).
He explained that many AGHS beneficiaries are unaware of the procedures performed, the tests performed, and the cost of treatment. The feedback form will record all relevant information regarding the hospital’s ability to provide cashless treatment, including the quality of treatment, the treatment process, the medications used, the tests, and the total treatment cost.
Hospitals will now be required to submit a feedback form signed by the beneficiary along with their medical claims. Failure to do so will result in the hospital not receiving payment. During a review meeting with the Authority’s officials, the Chairman directed that claims should only be considered if the mandatory feedback form is available during claim verification. The treated beneficiary will also be called randomly to verify the information on the treatment feedback form.
There are over five lakh SGHS card holders in the state.
