The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has given a major and long-awaited gift to the citizens of Dehradun’s western and surrounding areas. A state-of-the-art multiplex has officially commenced operations in the mall developed under the ISBT project. Micromultiplex company was selected through a tender process, and it is now screening Bollywood and Hollywood films. With the opening of this multiplex, entertainment enthusiasts in areas including Subhash Nagar, Graphic Era-Clement Town, Mehuwala, Majra, Kargi, and Banjarawala will now have access to a modern cinematic experience close to their homes. The objective of the ISBT mall, developed under this ambitious MDDA project, is not only to promote commercial activities but also to provide comprehensive facilities to the regional citizens in one place. In line with this vision, the multiplex has been launched in the mall, eliminating the need for residents to travel to multiplexes located in other parts of the city, thus saving them both time and resources.
The biggest features of the ISBT multiplex are its large screens, state-of-the-art sound system, and comfortable seating. It offers viewers superior visual quality and a fantastic audio experience, setting it apart from and making it better than other multiplexes in the city. Additionally, the multiplex complex provides ample and well-organized parking facilities, ensuring that people do not face any problems with vehicle parking. The multiplex has a total of three modern screens, showing three different films simultaneously. This gives viewers the convenience of choosing films according to their preferences. Along with new releases, entertainment options suitable for families, youth, and children are also available.
According to the MDDA, the ISBT mall is being developed as a multi-utility hub. The launch of the multiplex is a significant step in this direction. In the coming days, the mall will also offer shopping, a food court, shops for daily necessities, and other civic amenities, so that local residents can access all essential services near their homes. Local citizens and youth have welcomed the opening of the multiplex, calling it a significant step towards the development of the area. They said that now they will not have to travel long distances for entertainment and will have the opportunity to spend time with their families in a safe and convenient environment. This will also give a new impetus to the social and economic activities of the region. MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia, speaking at the inauguration of the multiplex, said that the ISBT project is an important and far-sighted plan of the authority, aimed at developing this area of Dehradun city into a well-organized center equipped with modern facilities. He said that with the opening of the multiplex, citizens of Subhash Nagar, Clement Town, Mehuwala, Majra, Kargi, and surrounding areas will have access to high-quality entertainment facilities near their homes. Secretary Mohan Singh Barnia informed that the multiplex has been developed with state-of-the-art technology, a superior sound system, and large screens to provide viewers with the best cinematic experience. He said that the development of other facilities in the mall is also progressing rapidly, and in the coming days, shopping, dining, and other civic amenities will be available here.
