The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) is continuously campaigning against illegal plotting, illegal construction, and unauthorized structures. Under the direction of Authority Vice Chairman Banshidhar Tiwari, daily action is being taken in various areas. The Vice Chairman himself leads the team, reaching the spot to carry out sealing and demolition operations. This MDDA action is considered a major step towards the planned and systematic development of the city. On Monday, the Authority’s team sealed an unauthorized construction in Sanjay Gram Bagi Ward No. 07, Kothari Mohalla, Jolly Grant, Dehradun. During the action, MDDA Assistant Engineer Pramod Mehra, Junior Engineer Swati, Junior Engineer Pravesh Nautiyal, and Supervisor Amar Lal Bhatt were present at the scene along with police force.

MDDA Secretary Mohan Singh Barniya said that the MDDA’s objective is to develop Dehradun in a systematic and planned manner. To achieve this, it is every citizen’s responsibility to follow the rules. Unauthorized construction will not be tolerated at any level. He stated that the authority is conducting regular inspections and, wherever violations are found, immediate sealing and demolition action is being taken.
