MDDA takes strict action, sealing action on illegal commercial/residential buildings in Sahastradhara Road, Ekta Vihar and Van Vihar

On the guidelines of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) is continuously running a strict campaign against illegal plotting and illegal construction. Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari said that to ensure planned and well-organized development in the state, illegal commercial and residential construction will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Action in Sahastradhara Road, Ekta Vihar and Van Vihar Sealing action was taken on illegal commercial/residential buildings being built at various places like Sahastradhara Road, Ekta Vihar Kailashpur, Van Vihar etc. under the authority area. 3 separate residential buildings were approved by Timit Pal in Saundhowali Mansingh near MDDA Amwala Tarla Residential Scheme Sahastradhara Road, which were being joined and illegal construction was being done. These buildings were sealed on the orders of Joint Secretary Gaurav Chatwal. Sealing action was taken on the construction without map approval by Sanjeev in Orchid Park Colony, Helipad Road Dehradun. Two shops illegally constructed by Mahmood Hasan in Gangotri Vihar West Canal Road (in front of Electric Tower) were sealed on the orders of the Joint Secretary. Sealing action was taken on illegal construction being done by Mohd. Intezaar in Ekta Vihar Kailashpur Road Dehradun. Illegal construction being done without map approval in Van Vihar Near Sapna Hostel Dehradun by Smeer Husail was also sealed. Assistant Engineer Shailendra Singh Rawat and his team, Assistant Engineer Vijay Singh Rawat, Junior Engineer Jitendra Singh and supervisor were present on the spot in these actions. Construction against the rules will not be tolerated under any circumstances – Banshidhar Tiwari Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari said, “Chief Minister has given clear instructions that strict action should be taken to stop unplanned and illegal construction in the state. MDDA teams are continuously working in the field. Construction being done by ignoring the rules will not be spared under any circumstances.”
