Translating the vision of Honorable Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami for green development, environmental protection, and expansion of civic amenities into reality, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has taken concrete steps towards the construction and renovation of two important parks in the Raipur assembly constituency of Dehradun. These two parks are being transformed into modern, eco-friendly, and user-friendly spaces at a cost of approximately ₹90 lakhs.
In this regard, the foundation stone for the proposed park near the community hall in MDDA Colony, Chandra Road, Dalanwala, Dehradun, under the Raipur assembly constituency, was formally laid today by the Honorable MLA of Raipur, Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’. The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by local representatives, officials, MDDA officers, workers, and a large number of local citizens. This park will not only serve as a center of greenery and tranquility for the residents of the area but will also provide a common platform for health, recreation, and social activities for children, youth, and senior citizens.
The MDDA stated that in addition to this, the park in the Nehru Colony area has already been completed. Keeping in mind the civic amenities, this park includes the construction of footpaths, extensive plantation, a stage, painting work, and high-quality grass in the grounds. Along with beautification, the park has also been made environmentally sound to promote green cover in the urban area. This park is being designed to meet the needs of people of all age groups.
