The Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal encroachments, plotting and constructions in the capital Dehradun and surrounding areas. After the strict instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, MDDA is continuously running a campaign against encroachers. In this sequence, illegal constructions were sealed at two places Bhogpur and Harbajwala under the authority area today.
MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, work is being done on the policy of zero tolerance against illegal construction and plotting against the rules. No matter how influential a person is, if he is found involved in illegal encroachments, construction, plotting or doing work against the rules, then strict action will be taken against him. He also appealed to the general public not to get trapped in such constructions nor encourage anyone.

Thano Bhogpur:- Illegal construction being done by Sanika and Vishal was sealed in the presence of Assistant Engineer Pramod Mehra, Junior Engineer Deepak Nautiyal and supervisor.
Mehuwala Harbajwala (near Asan river):- Illegal construction being done by Kedar Singh Chauhan was sealed by Assistant Engineer Vijay Singh Rawat, Junior Engineer Jitendra Singh and supervisor’s team on the orders of Joint Secretary Gaurav Chatwal.
MDDA has clarified that this campaign will continue further and if illegal construction is found anywhere in the authority area, immediate action will be taken.
