The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be opened this year on April 22nd at 8:00 AM with Vedic chanting and full rituals. The date for opening was decided after prayers were offered at the Omkareshwar Temple in the presence of Kedarnath’s Rawal Jagadguru Bhimashankar Ling on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
Bhairavnath Puja will be performed on April 18th. On April 19th, the Chal Utsav Doli will depart from Omkareshwar Temple, the winter seat of Ukhimath, towards Phata. On April 20th, the Doli will rest overnight at Gaurikund, after which it will reach Kedarnath on April 21st.
The doors of Badrinath Dham will open on April 23rd.
