State Public Works Minister and Chaubattakhal MLA Satpal Maharaj expressed his condolences to Riya, daughter of Jitendra, resident of Pokhda, Shrikot, who was killed in a tiger attack, and directed SDM Shrestha Gunsola and DFO Jeevan Dogde to catch the man-eating tiger.
State Cabinet Minister and Chaubattakhal MLA Satpal Maharaj expressed his condolences to Riya, daughter of Jitendra, resident of Pokhda, Shrikot, who was killed in a tiger attack under his assembly constituency, and directed SDM Shrestha Gunsola and DFO Jeevan Dogde to catch the man-eating tiger and assured the victim’s family of all possible help. He obtained information about the incident from BJP leaders Rajpal Rawat and Prabhu Sharan Budakoti and directed the SDM and DFO to immediately install cages to catch the tiger at the incident site and its surroundings.
Mr. Maharaj said that two cages have been installed in the area to catch the tiger and instructions have been given to the officials to install the remaining two cages. He informed that the forest department team is continuously patrolling the site of incident and nearby areas and is engaged in the process of catching the tiger.
On the instructions of the regional MLA and Cabinet Minister Shri Maharaj, the forest department has given immediate relief of Rs. 1 lakh 80 thousand to the victim’s family, while the remaining relief amount of Rs. 4 lakh 20 thousand will be given to the victim’s family soon.
