“Jammu: Western Command’s General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar on Tuesday called for Operation Sindoor 2.0 to be even more “”lethal”” if Pakistan continues terror attacks in India.”
Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Lt Gen Katiyar said India’s response next time would be even greater than the number of airbases and military posts destroyed during Operation Sindoor. “””Until Pakistan changes its mind, it will continue to take the same action that it has taken,”” he said.”

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, 2025 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam attack. The operation was conceived as a punitive and targeted operation to dismantle the terror infrastructure across the Line of Control (LoC) and inside Pakistan.
