A landslide occurred on Saturday at the dam site of Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydroelectric Project under construction by THDC in Helang of Jyotirmath in Chamoli district. Due to which eight people working on the project construction were injured. On receiving information about the incident, the team of tehsil administration, police, SDRF and health department reached the spot. Where all the injured have been admitted to the hospital after rescue.
District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that there is no report of any casualty during the incident in Helang. Eight people have been injured in the incident. Four people are being treated at THDC Hospital. While two seriously injured people are being treated at Swami Vivekanand Hospital Pipalkoti. At the same time, plaster of one person is being done in Pipalkoti itself. While one seriously injured is being referred to Medical College Srinagar.
