Patna: JD(U) president and Union minister Lalan Singh’s statement on the last day of the Bihar assembly election campaign on November 4 has sparked a controversy. A video of Lalan Singh is going viral, the Election Commission has sent a notice to Lalan Singh seeking a response. The RJD has shared this video on its official account X and has demanded strict action from the commission. However, the JD(U) has called it an edited video.
Questions raised by RJD: RJD has posted a video in X and written that Union Minister Lalan Singh is putting a bulldozer on the Election Commission’s chest saying that the poor should not be allowed to leave the house on the day of voting. You have to lock it in the house, if you add more hands and feet, then you have to take it with you and let the vote drop, where is the dead commission?
According to official sources, the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar on Tuesday sent a notice to Lalan Singh and gave him 24 hours to respond. The move comes after a video clip went viral on social media.
FIR on Lalan Singh: At the same time, the Patna district administration has informed that the video footage of the video surveillance team was examined by Patna. After investigation, an FIR has been registered against Lalan Singh alias Rajeev Ranjan Singh under relevant sections of the Indian Civil Protection Code and the Representation of the People Act.
Lalan Singh’s controversial statement!: In the viral video, Lalan Singh is seen saying during the election campaign that there is one and a half leaders, do not let him leave the house on election day. Pack them at home and if you add too many hands and feet, you will say that come with us and give your vote and come home and sleep. Lalan Singh seems to be telling his supporters that you should take command from today.
