Chamoli: Nature wreaked havoc in the Nandanagar area of Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, burying many people alive. Many luckily survived, but others were left breathless under the rubble. Among them, one man was rescued alive after 16 hours. While he survived, he was unable to save his wife and two sons. It is reported that they are still buried under the debris, and efforts are ongoing to rescue them.

SDRF personnel are attempting to rescue them by cutting the roof with a cutter machine. Soldiers engaged in the struggle to save lives: Despite the difficult conditions, soldiers are using hammers and tools to break the roof and reach the people trapped inside. Soldiers are working day and night to keep hope alive. Chamoli Police say that behind every brick of the rubble lies the hope of a life.
Nature wreaks havoc in Nandanagar Block: It is noteworthy that on the night of September 17th, heavy rains wreaked havoc in Kuntri Laga Phali, Sarpani, and Dhurma villages in the Nandanagar block of Chamoli district. Numerous houses were buried under debris. At the time of this incident, people were sleeping in their homes when the sudden disaster struck, destroying everything.
Many people escaped by running away, but some were left without a chance, buried alive under the debris. Five bodies have been recovered so far. Today, September 19th, three bodies were recovered, including one woman and two men. On September 18th, the bodies of two men were recovered.
