Chamoli: The festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna was celebrated with great pomp in Bhu Baikunth city Badrinath Dham. BKTC organized a grand program on this occasion. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmotsav, a large number of devotees reached Badrinath Dham and had darshan of Lord Badri Vishal.
Let us tell you that on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees about Shri Krishna Janmashtami in Badri Puri from Friday 15 August till today. On this auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, under the leadership of Chief Priest of Badrinath Dham Rawal Amarnath Namboodri, special decoration of all the deities including Lord Badri Vishal ji along with the deities of Badrish Panchayat, Narada, Uddhav, Kuber and Nar-Narayan was also done. The Janmashtami festival of Lord Shri Krishna started formally from the auspicious time of Friday night.
During this, Badrinath’s Rawal completed the grand Abhishek Aarti Pujan program on the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna. The entire event lasted till midnight. After which a grand birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna was celebrated. During this, the entire Badri Puri was seen immersed in the joy of Shri Krishna Janmotsav. Devotees remained immersed in bhajan kirtin in the temple premises till late night.
On the other hand, thousands of devotees gathered on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival in Bhavishya Badri temple, one of the Panch Badri Dhams dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Narayan Prabhu in Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Shri Krishna Janmashtami and Janmotsav were celebrated with great joy in Bhavishya Badri temple dedicated to Shri Hari Vishnu, located in the middle of dense pine forests at the top of Subhai village of Jyotirmath area. There was a continuous flow of Narayan devotees here since this morning. A grand Abhishek Puja Aarti was organized during Shri Krishna Janmotsav in the temple under the aegis of Bhavishya Badri Mandir Puja Committee.
On the occasion of Janmashtami, 56 bhogs were offered to Lord Bhavishya Badri as well as Lord Krishna on his birth anniversary. Hundreds of devotees sang Krishna bhajans and kirtans below the temple premises, and women filled the atmosphere with Krishna devotion by singing traditional chofula dakudi and folk songs throughout the day. During this, the committee also organized a grand bhandaara prasad for thousands of devotees.
