Heavy rain became a disaster late Friday night near Ward 29 Bhaktiyana, NIT of Srinagar Garhwal Municipal Corporation. Rain water entered inside two houses. Local resident Bhaskar Raturi told that when his wife woke up at 4 am on Saturday, the room was filled with water. It was told that water entered the houses due to the choke of the drain of the National Highway.
Kedarnath Yatra disrupted
Devotees who went on Kedarnath Yatra also had to face difficulties. The Kedarnath route has been blocked due to torrential rain beyond Gaurikund. The Yatra has been stopped as a precaution. At the same time, traffic was stopped due to the collapse of the Phoolchatti Jankichatti road connecting Yamunotri Dham near Phoolchatti. Local people and devotees are stranded in dozens of vehicles on both sides.
