The second phase of the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham has picked up pace. More than 10,000 pilgrims are earning merit by visiting Kedarnath every day. So far, more than 1.7 million pilgrims have visited Kedarnath. Most pilgrims are arriving in groups. Due to the pleasant weather in the Dham these days, pilgrims are enjoying the natural beauty of Kedarnath along with the darshan. During the rainy season, the pilgrimage to Kedarnath had slowed down. Up to 5,000 pilgrims were arriving daily. Pilgrims are arriving in groups. Last August, heavy rains caused landslides and subsidence on the Gaurikund Highway and the Aastha Path, significantly impacting the pilgrimage. The district administration had to suspend the pilgrimage for a few days due to the persistent rain. The weather has now returned to normal. Due to this, the second phase of the Kedarnath pilgrimage is also gaining momentum. So far, 17,12,613 pilgrims have earned merit by visiting Kedarnath. Vinod Semwal, who runs a business in Kedarnath, said that the second phase of the Kedarnath pilgrimage is gaining momentum. Pilgrims are arriving in groups. After the rains, green meadow grass grows at the foothills of the hills near Kedarnath. Pilgrims are also enjoying the natural beauty.
