As part of the closing ceremony of the Kedarnath Temple, the golden umbrella and urn placed directly above the Swayambhu Linga were removed from the sanctum sanctorum of the temple on Sunday after obtaining permission from Bhakunta Bhairava. Prior to this, a special puja for Kedarnath Baba was performed by the Kedarnath Sabha.
Aarti of the deity will be performed without adornment starting today, Monday. The Panchpanda Rudrapur stakeholders completed this ceremony. Kedarnath Sabha President Rajkumar Tiwari, General Secretary Ankit Semwal, Anit Shukla, Block Chief Pankaj Shukla, Naveen Shukla, Deepak, Himanshu, Vinod, and others were present.
Meanwhile, the Kedarnath Temple is being decorated with marigold flowers before the closing of the doors. Kedarnath Sabha President Rajkumar Tiwari stated that the temple is being decorated with three quintals of marigold flowers.
