Lord Kedarnath’s Chal Utsav Vigraha Doli has reached its abode Kedarnath today. Here, thousands of devotees welcomed Baba Kedar’s Doli with flower showers. The Doli has been seated in the newly built storehouse.
After the disaster, the Doli has been seated in its storehouse for the first time. Earlier, at six in the morning, the priests of Baba Kedar’s Chal Utsav Vigraha Doli Gauri Shankar Goswami and Bagesh Ling performed Puja-Archana in the Gauri Mai temple located in Gaurikund.
Along with this, the Doli was anointed and decorated and Aarti was performed. Amidst the cheers of the devotees and the tunes of the army band, Baba Kedar’s Doli reached its abode Kedarnath in the afternoon via Jangalchatti, Bhimbali, Chhani Camp, Rudra Point, Base Camp.
Tomorrow at 7 in the morning, the doors of the Kedarnath temple will be opened for the devotees to visit in the Taurus Lagna. All preparations for the opening of the doors of the temple have been completed. The temple has been decorated with 108 quintals of flowers and garlands.
More than ten thousand devotees reached the temple by evening to witness the opening of the doors. Along with top officials of the government, administration and police, a large number of security forces have also been deployed. On Thursday, District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar, Superintendent of Police Akshay Prahlad Konde reached Kedarnath. They took stock of all the preparations in the temple and gave necessary instructions to the deployed officers and employees.
Both the officials took stock of the security and other arrangements around the Kedarnath temple. Also, all the arrangements from the helipad to the temple area were inspected. He said that arrangements have been made for the night stay of more than 15 thousand devotees in Kedarnath. Also, necessary arrangements are being made so that all the devotees can have easy darshan after the opening of the doors.
Meanwhile, Vijay Prasad Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has also reached Kedarnath. He said that the doors of Kedarnath Dham will be opened on Friday at 7 am on Taurus Lagna. After this, for six months, devotees of Baba Kedar will have darshan and worship of their idol in the Dham only. He said that after the opening of the doors, token system will be implemented for darshan.
