Kashipur:- On the information of the Nepal Embassy, the police have freed 32 Nepalis from the clutches of human traffickers on the pretext of job. These Nepali workers were kept in a rented house. It is alleged that Nepali youths were being held hostage and forced to sell the company’s products. Three of the recovered citizens are minors. The police has registered a case against the two accused under various sections in this regard.
Nepal Embassy representative Naveen Joshi (KIN India) reached the ITI police station and said that Virendra Chhatrashahi, a resident of Dhangarhi Gram Vikas Samiti Kaple in Nepal, is recovering illegal money from Nepali youths by luring them to India by luring them with jobs. He told that Nepali youths are also being physically and mentally abused. It has been reported that Nepali youths have been held hostage at some place. The team was formed under the leadership of SI Mahesh Kandpal under the direction of Superintendent of Police Deepak Singh. The formed police team investigated in Shyampuram colony of ITI police station area. Meanwhile, on the information of the informant, the police team along with the representative of the Nepalese embassy Naveen Joshi raided the house of Maharaj Singh alias Pappu in Om Vihar Colony. From here, the police recovered 32 youths of Nepali origin, including three minors.
The police recovered the company’s daily use products in the house search. All the recovered Nepali citizens were safely handed over to the representative of the Nepal Embassy, Naveen Joshi, after explaining by the police. The team included CO Deepak Singh, SI Mahesh Kandpal and Vijay Kumar, ASI Chandra Prakash Bawdi and Pushkar Bhatt, Head Constable Anil Kumar, Constable Yogesh Pandey.

He had brought those people here by luring them with a job.
Used to mentally and physically abuse the youth Nepali youths said that those people were brought to Rudrapur in January 2025 passing through Banbasa and Sunoli Gorakhpur border. He has been kept in this house since then. They were given food here. He told that about six months ago, a 15-day training was done in the Lead Vision Trading India Private Limited Company in the name of the job. He was not given a job after training. Nepali youths said that these people mentally and physically abuse them.
30 thousand rupees recovered in the name of job Nepali youths said that it was brought in by saying that they would give jobs in India. Virendra and Sachin had assured him that his salary would be from 20 to 30 thousand rupees according to Indian rupees. Alleged that these two have also recovered 10 to 30 thousand rupees from those people by saying that they would get a job.
Nepali youth used to buy and sell products themselves Nepali youths said that after the training, they were not given a job, but after that they were forced to buy a company’s daily use products with their own money and sell them from house to house. He also told that some people in Nepal also sell the company’s products, for which they get a commission.
Haven’t been home since January The Nepali youth said that they had come to India in January 2025. Virendra and Sachin have kept these people in this house since then. He said it had been about six months, but till now he was not allowed to go home, nor was he allowed to talk to his family.
In the case of the recovered Nepali youths, a case has been registered against Virendra and Sachin under Section 127 (4)/318 (4)/137(2)/3(5) of the BNS and Section 14 (A) of the Child and Juvenile Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act and Section 79 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
