Police have arrested two accused with pistols and revolvers. Both these accused were roaming around with the intention of committing a crime during the Kanwar Yatra. Both the accused have told the names of many people from the city and countryside to the police. At the same time, the names of many such people have also come to light to whom the accused have sold arms.
On Friday, Ganganahar Kotwali in-charge Inspector RK Saklani was checking the road leading to Vivekananda College in Saliyar with his team. During this, two suspects started running after seeing the police. Police immediately caught Rizwan resident Banda Road Mahigran Road and Salman alias Lakha resident Rampur Thana Kotwali Ganganahar.
When they were searched, a 32 bore pistol, revolver and cartridges were recovered. During interrogation, both the accused told that they were in contact with many people to whom they had sold arms. Now the police is investigating all of them. During interrogation, it was found that they used to buy illegal weapons from Sajid of Meerut.
