Kaladhungi (Nainital): After a head-on collision between two bikes, both caught fire. In the accident, two people riding a bike were burnt to death on the spot, while a couple riding the other bike and two other people riding a two-wheeler passing by were burnt. They have been admitted to the hospital. The deceased have not been identified yet.
On Friday night around 8:30 pm, a KTM and Splendor bike collided fiercely near the Forest Corporation office on the Kaladhungi-Haldwani highway. Both the bikes turned into fireballs in no time. This saved the road from chaos.
Before anyone could understand anything, in this horrific accident, two unidentified persons riding a KTM bike were burnt to death on the spot. Noor Mohammad son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Gojajali Haldwani and his wife Shahida (36), riding on the Splendor bike, were severely burnt.
At the same time, Jagdish Saini son of Ram Singh Saini and Rajan Singh Bora son of Gulab Singh, both residents of Gulzarpur police station Kaladhungi, who were passing by on a moped, also got burnt in the fire. The KTM riders have not been identified yet.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police team of Kaladhungi police station reached the spot and tried to control the fire. All the seriously injured persons were immediately taken to the government hospital Kaladhungi by 112 vehicle, where after first aid they were referred to Sushila Tiwari Hospital Haldwani. The entire police team including Circle Officer Ramnagar Sumit Kumar Pandey, police station in-charge were present on the spot. Also, the forensic unit has also been called to the spot.
