ITBP gets 36 new young officers, joined the mainstream after passing out parade
Mussoorie: Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has got 36 new young officers today. Passing out parade was organized in Mussoorie on Monday. After receiving one year of rigorous training, these officers have joined the mainstream of ITBP as soon as they took the last step in the parade.
It includes 27 Assistant Commander/GD and after receiving six months of rigorous training, there is one Deputy Commander/Senior Medical Officer and eight Assistant Commander/Medical Officers, including four female medical officers. In the grand convocation and oath taking ceremony, the young officers took the oath of loyalty and dedication towards the Constitution and the force.
During the training, these officers have been given intensive training in various operational and administration related subjects such as combat skills, weapon handling, physical training, intelligence, field engineering, map study, law and human rights related subjects.
ITBP Additional Director General, Western Command, Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary attended the parade as the chief guest. He congratulated all the officers who passed out on joining the mainstream of the force.
He said that the forward posts of Indo-Tibetan Border Police are located at an altitude of 9000 to 18750 feet. Where the temperature falls to minus 45 degrees Celsius. The extremely challenging geographical environment at these forward posts demands extraordinary patience, sacrifice and courage from the officers posted here. He said that he is confident that the new young officers will overcome the challenges with their courage.
He said that the history of ITBP has been glorious. The force has a lot of expectations from the new officers, the training received during the training period will enable the military officers to face every challenge. As a young officer, along with discharging the old traditions of the force, also incorporate new ideas in the force.
Officers from these states participated
Among the officers who passed out, seven are from Haryana, six from Uttar Pradesh, four from Kerala, three each from Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, two each from Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Manipur, and one each from Maharashtra, Bihar, Karnataka and Ladakh.
