Uttarakhand cadre IPS officer Lokeshwar Singh has been selected for an international organization affiliated with the United Nations. He currently serves as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Pauri. His selection for the United Nations (UN) is a proud moment for both the country and the state, as it attracts qualified officers from around the world.
Lokeshwar Singh is a 2014 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. During the past 11 years, he has served in key positions within the Uttarakhand Police, making significant contributions to strengthening law and order and public safety in the state. He has served in the districts of Haridwar, Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat, and Pithoragarh. Now, in his new international role, he will contribute to advancing global objectives such as institutional integrity, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.
His appointment will further strengthen India’s representation and influence internationally. Lokeshwar Singh will soon apply for approval to Police Headquarters and will then relieve himself of his duties in the Uttarakhand cadre and assume his new role in the organization
