Hyderabad: The ‘Cine Magical Glow Run 2026’ was organized at Ramoji Film City on Saturday night. Approximately 2,500 enthusiastic runners participated in the event, running for both fun and fitness amidst a spectacular display of neon lights. This ‘Glow Run’ offered a completely novel experience for the runners. Set against a backdrop of neon lights and pulsating DJ music, the race ignited a tremendous sense of excitement among the participants, fostering a spirit of fitness and enthusiasm.
Participants competed across 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km categories. Ramoji Film City MD Vijayeswari Cherukuri and ETV Network Director Poorna Sujay, joined by other distinguished guests, flagged off the 10 km race. Film actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar attended as the Chief Guest for this special occasion, while cricketer Drithi Kesari graced the event as an Honored Guest. Several senior representatives from Ramoji Film City were also present at the event.
The 3 km race was flagged off by ETV Bharat Director Bruhathi and Krishnaiah Projects Pvt. Ltd. Director Venkat Akshay. Following the flag-off, Sujay, Bruhathi, and Venkat Akshay themselves joined the runners and participated in the race.
In the 10 km men’s category, Lokesh Chaudhary, Rohit, and Sunil Kumar emerged as the winners, while in the women’s category, D. Kalyani, Manisha, and Gaddam Rajeswari secured the top three spots. Similarly, in the 5 km men’s category, Love Chaudhary, Hemraj, and Navvula Bala claimed victory, while in the women’s category, Prachi Padiyar, Aarti Bhagat, and Anjali won cash prizes.
The winner of the 10 km race was awarded ₹25,000, the runner-up received ₹20,000, and the third-place finisher was awarded ₹15,000. In the 5-kilometer category, cash prizes of ₹20,000 for first place, ₹15,000 for second, and ₹10,000 for third place were awarded. The organizers presented medals to all participants in this ‘Cine Glow Run.’ Film City MD Vijeshwari handed over the prize checks to the winners of the 10-kilometer run.
Amidst the pulsating beats of the DJ and dazzling lights, the runners enjoyed a truly unique experience. The participants remarked that this ‘Glow Run’—held amidst neon lighting—was not merely a race, but an experience that would remain with them as a cherished memory for a lifetime.
According to the runners, this professionally timed race was organized as a perfect blend of fitness and entertainment. They noted that, unlike typical outdoor marathons, this race held at Ramoji Film City infused them with a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm.
With this—India’s first ‘Cine Magical Glow Run’—Ramoji Film City has set a new benchmark for such sporting events within the country. The runners have requested the Film City management to continue organizing similar events in the future.
